The second season of ‘The House of the Dragon’ will give more prominence to the dragons. The Targaryen symbol was already left during the start of the series, but now they will play a more relevant role on the Westeros board. Ryan Condal, showrunner of the project, compares the fierce Vhagar to Lebron James.
“She makes the entire team better. […] Vhagar is a big threat”, he reveals. The comparison with the Los Angeles Lakers star is accurate considering the history of the dragon. The mount with which Aemond Targaryen will ride is fierce and he opens the way for his brothers to respond to the call of fire.
We know that in season 2 they will happen at least 5 unpublished dragons in front of the camera, a significant number that reinforces the Dance of Dragons on which the Targaryen era of terror is built.
When does the second season of ‘The House of the Dragon’ premiere?
There isn’t much left to know about the franchise’s new step on the small screen. It will be next June 17 when the second season in the Max catalog. Regarding its content, it has emerged that it will narrate a large part of the Dance of Dragons, but it will not cover it all. To complete it, they will wait to capture it in season 3, which is still in the writing phase.
The second season will reduce the number of episodes compared to the first. From 10 we went to 8, although for the moment the duration of each episode has not been revealed. The reasons for this change have not been confirmed by the production team. Sara Hess, writer and producer of the season, explained in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that the decision was not made by the creative team. It seems that she is committed to leaving certain events that give shape to its continuation.
