Tom Morello has released “Soldier In The Army Of Love”, a song he composed with Roman, his son. The Rage Against The Machine guitarist has a lot to be proud of, since his offspring has become a guitar genius.
The song, as we told you, has been composed with Roman Morello, “guitar wizard” and son of Tom. In fact, the track is described as a “generational rock anthem by the Morellos” and will be the first to come out of Ax’s next album, his first solo LP.
“Well, one of the things that was very inspiring was that I have a 13-year-old guitar prodigy son, Roman. We wrote this song together. And his riffs are heavier than mine, and I’ve been relegated to the status of rhythm guitarist in the family. So we did this song together, “Soldier In The Army Of Love,” and it was so rocking. It was kind of the genesis of this whole idea.”
“I’ve made a lot of records: collaborative records, records mixed with hip-hop, electronic, acoustic records, and this is really Tom Morello’s first solo rock record, and this song, ‘Soldier In The Army Of Love,’ really sums up what it’s about.”
