This year another version of the Altavoz Fest will be held, an event that for more than 20 years has brought together the best local and international music proposals in genres such as rock, metal, ska, reggae, hip hop, among others. 70 bands have already been selected that will be able to earn their place to be at said event.
The artists were selected after the first auditions were held in May in stages such as the Carlos Vieco Open Air Theater and the Pedregal Open Air Theater.

The chosen bands will be performing in Ciudad Altavoz on July 19, 20 and 21 at the Carlos Vieco Open Air Theater, the Parque de los Deseos and the Parque Biblioteca Manuel Mejía Vallejo, those who pass this phase will be on the Altavoz stage Fest and will share with national and international guest artists.
On the list of winners of these first auditions there are 10 artists for each of the 7 genres that are part of the Festival, these are core, ska and reggae, rap, electronic and alternative, rock, punk and metal, the latter two with their respective branches.
On the core genre side are the bands Soul in Grace, Slave Chains, Released Minds, You Are my Addiction, Héloise, Pariah, Control Hardcore, Líbranos del Mal, FDC Fuera de Contexto and Nuestro Tiempo Altavoz Fest 2024.
The artists who will represent rap are Flako RL, DC Family, Inner Groove, La Ciudad Maldita, HDC, Ancestros Mosco, K Max, Ermitaño Mental, Arleking and Kyl – Yao.
Representing reggae will be the bands Marasoul, 2 Tone Brothers, Indocumentados Ska, Llama Naciente, The Tornas, Inroots, Los Primatez, El Sonido del Barrio, Juniorquin, The Blackbeast and Sr Moskato.
Metal will be felt in Ciudad Altavoz with Epiphany, Khinesiz, Invoker, Cráneo, Lost in Darkness, Snowblind, Damn Brain, Absolution Denied, Antártica and Anacryptic.

Punk fans will be able to enjoy the talent of Futuro Simple, Pato el Pez, Los Chengues, SAV, La Muscaria, Envenenados, Detective Wadd, Bombas x Minuto, La Espantosa and Giro de un Grito.
Rock will shake heads with Ferales, Volcán, Luisa VI, Lilith, Viajero, Voodoo, Howen, Prófugos, Dead Country Brothers and The Halfways.
Electronic music along with alternative music have earned their place at the festival and will be represented with Feralucia, The Virginia Valley, Dosis Margarita, Shimura Cinema, Eco Medellín, Luna Cáustica, Illary en Altavoz con la Fuerza del Sol, Ana Gartner, Folkombia – ElAmor in the Times of Cumbia and Monopop.
In this first phase of auditions, the bands received incentives totaling 196 million pesos. A total of 28 bands will be selected for the International Festival, that is, 4 per genre.
