This Friday it restarted the security measure hearing against Julián Alberto Quintero Agudeloknown as “Uncle” and butler of the murdered music producer Daniel Velázquez and his wife Astrid Riascos. During the hearing, the prosecutor in the case read a statement that the accused Quintero gave to the investigating entity in which recognizes that he is responsible for the couple’s crime in events that occurred on June 8 in the Acuarela subdivision of Envigado.
The prosecutor initially explained that The defendant in the first instance tried to divert the course of the investigation by falsely reporting that he was in his house when he heard the shots, he immediately went out and saw a person running in the dark and shot him, but he fled. Then later handed over the weapon used in the double homicide which he had hidden in some bushes in the patio of the house.
The researcher also indicated that After a sworn interview, Mr. Julián confessed that he was responsible for crhyme by producer Daniel Velázquez and his wife Astrid Riascossupposedly for a discussion which he had with Velázquez in the midst of drinking liquor.
“He told me that my grandmother, that is, my mother, I couldn’t continue living on the farm any longer.. I asked him why. He told me that Sofia had told him that my mother treated her badly”.
The prosecutor continued the story by indicating that, in the middle of the discussion, Velázquez had uttered expletives against his familymother, sister and niece, ex-partner of the deceased, which took him as an offense and under the influence of liquor he committed the crime.
“Mr. Julián states. I was already angry, I had my drinks on me. My mom, my mother is a 72 year old grandmother And since I was going to treat him like that, then Daniel told me that it was bad or what he was going to do. That was what bothered him the most.says Julian. That’s when I burst. Then I I took the 9 millimeter pistol and shot Daniel Alejandro. I was already blinded by air and drinks. I shot him only once. I told him to respect and I shot him. Then I left the patch to see who had heard the shot and I left for the main house, I went up to Astrid Sofía’s room. He was blinded in the room and I shot him. I shot him once, he was shot in the head.”
The official also indicated that in On two occasions the accused has confessed to being responsible for the double crime. For now, its insurance measure situation has not been defined.
