In a recent chapter, Carolina Cruz said that her first steps as a model were taken when she was 16 years old at events held in shopping centers in Cali. “That’s where I started to earn my talk. At that time, for each parade when I was 16 or 17 years old, they paid me 50,000 pesos and I felt like an arch-millionaire. and I remember that I went and bought t-shirts that said ‘Azuquitar’. I opened my first savings account, but I also decided at the age of 17 to take care of my family.“he declared.

In the same way, she said that the opportunity to be a beauty queen came one day when she went out to buy bread and a man approached her to tell her that she should represent the department of Valle del Cauca.
“I never dreamed of being queen. I never dreamed of being a model. Much less with being a presenter, a businesswoman and doing what I do today. I never imagined that social networks would exist (…) I never thought I would be a social communicator either, because I didn’t finish my degree either, something I also regret.“, said.
And he added that, when he was already 19 years old, he had several surgeries: “One is very small, very immature. So I came to see a plastic surgeon, they find you many things to improve in your body and you are very insecure (…) You don’t have that strength, plus I was a 19-year-old girl (…) I had liposculpture and I I had my puchecas enlarged and I had a nose job“.
Carolina Cruz remembered what she felt on the day of her reign, in which she became vicereine; Catalina Costa was the winner. “Out of frustration and not understanding why he hadn’t won. If everyone was telling me what a favorite (…) I didn’t understand what I was missing (…) That day I have to accept that it hit me very hard, I cried all night. They all went out to party and I stayed in the room to eat a big cheesecake because I had been on a diet all year (…) I was a girl, small. I did not understand anything“, he said.
