What is kidney cancer and symptoms?

According to the American Cancer Society, this type of cancer begins when the body’s cells begin to grow out of control and develop changes that reach the kidneys.

Additionally, in its early stages, it usually has no notable signs or symptoms. However, there are some to be aware of:

  • Blood in the urine.
  • Pain in the back or side that does not go away.
  • Loss of appetite.
  • Weight loss without apparent cause.
  • Fatigue.
  • Fever.

“Both kidneys are important, but you can function with only one kidney. Many people in the United States live normal healthy lives with only one kidney. Some people have no functioning kidneys and survive with the help of a medical procedure called dialysis,” explains the American Cancer Society.

You should be alert to these signs.
