Gonzalez said the video of the incident clearly showed the actress’ behavior and that there was no manipulation in the images.
“There is no one here who has manipulated anything, they have simply seen what you are. There is a video that shows you from head to toe, there is nothing to manipulate or tell differently. All of Peru has already seen what you have done, how you have responded, how you have treated the police officer and the airs of greatness and superiority that you once again show,” González mentioned in his program.
The host of ‘Amor y Fuego’ also congratulated the officer who recorded the incident, ensuring that, without that video, only Fiorella Cayo’s version would be available. González argued that filming is crucial, since it allows us to objectively observe what happened and avoids any distortion of the facts.
“It’s good that he recorded you, because he has the right to record an intervention. People can invent, as in fact you did. Imagine if it had been his word against yours and you had assured that he had asked you for a bribe,” commented the popular ‘Peluchín’.
Rodrigo González also criticised Cayo for trying to manipulate the situation in his favour, suggesting that the actress tried to blame the police officer for acting incorrectly.
“The only one who wanted to manipulate the truth and blame the police taking advantage of the bad reputation he has, (…) but you got a policeman who wanted to make you pay for exactly what you had done. (…) You say that justice will come, and without a doubt he will make you pay, he is already making you pay for what you have done,” said the host.
After the images of his arrest were revealed, the actress and dancer Fiorella Cayoshared a message with her followers through her Instagram stories, where she hinted that people should not give their opinion on a subject that is not known or that there is not all the evidence of the case.
“Art exists so that reality does not destroy us. It takes us to a world where we can feel a thousand emotions and be free to feel without judging and without judging ourselves. We should never give an opinion if we do not know the befores, the whys and, above all, if we do not have an idea of who each person is and what they are like in the equation,” the actress can be read in the statement.
