“Although we agree with respect for animal life and the transformation of bullrings into cultural centers, tearing down, destroying, trampling on and celebrating the sculpture of master César Rincón constitutes an action that destroyed cultural heritage and memory historic of what at some point represented our municipality,” said Duitama councilor Alexander Serrato.
The former candidate for Mayor took the voice of all Duitamenses who know the word respect, to apologize in the first instance to the author of this work, the Santander-Duitamense sculptor Argemiro Díaz Rincón, and in the second instance to the rancher, businessman and teacher César Rincón, his wife and children for the attack and mockery of his integrity, and stated that this act does not represent what Duitamenses citizens are.
“To the mayor, ask after six months of mistakes to concentrate on the real works that the city needs.
