Actor Martin Mull, known for his role in ‘Sabrina, Witchcraft’ and ‘Two and a Half Men’, dies

American actor Martin Mull, known for his role in ‘Sabrina, Witchcraft’, has died at the age of 80, as confirmed this Friday by his daughter on Instagram. «I am heartbroken to share that my father passed away at home on September 27 June, after a brave fight against a long illness,” Maggie Mull shared on social media.

Mull’s first major role came in 1976, playing Garth Gimble in the parody of the soap opera ‘Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman’. Since then he has been seen in comedy series such as ‘Sabrina, witch things‘, where he played director Willard Kraft; ‘Two and a half Men‘, where he played Russell, the pharmacist; or other mythical ones like ‘Roseanne‘.

Mull received several awards Throughout his career, according to ‘CNN’, he received a CableACE in 1985, an Innovator in 2008, a Video Premiere nomination in 1998 and an Emmy in 2016. In addition, that same year, he won an OFTA Television and a Gold Derby TV.

“He was known for excelling in every creative discipline imaginable and also for making commercials for Red Roof Inn“, recalled his daughter, who also added that her father “will be deeply missed”, in addition to his family, “by his friends and co-workers, comedians and musicians.”
