The horror movie of the year hits theaters in a month. Longlegsthe latest from Oz Perkins, premieres in Spain on August 2nd and those who have been lucky enough to see it already describe it as one of the great titles of the year.
Perkins, director of I am the pretty creature that lives in this house and Gretel & Hansel, writes and directs this horror thriller in which the FBI tries to hunt down a serial killer. The protagonist is Lee Harkera brilliant and promising agent who gets involved in the important case. The investigation becomes more complex and disturbing when she discovers that there is satanic rituals involved in the mysterious deaths.
Maika Monroe, the protagonist of It Follows, plays Lee Harker. Nicolas Cage is also part of the cast along with Alicia Witt, Dakota Daulby and Blair Underwood.

Perkins describes it this way in Gamesradar: “Is The silence of the lambsbut also a little Zodiaca bit of seven. There’s a kind of pattern, a code, the kind of thing you recognize.”

One of the successes of Longlegs has been their marketing strategy. Neonthe film’s distributor in the United States, has used its social media to show some images and previews of the film, but always shrouding everything in mystery. Very little is known about the film and they haven’t even shown much of the face of the big signing in the cast: Cage as the villain.
