An eye witness has spoken out on the ‘major panic’ she experienced as a horrifying stabbing took place on a train at Beckenham Junction.
Speaking to GB News’ Ray Addison, she described what went through her mind as the events unfolded with her daughter in situ.
“I was on the train with my daughter and it was really, really scary,” she said.
“I am actually horrified that something like this can happen in our lovely Shortlands and Bromley.

“And I just I can’t believe it. I actually cannot believe it. And it’s a shame that young people can actually do this to each other.
“I was in the next carriage I was walking through to find out what was happening, and obviously at the time I didn’t realize and it’s only afterwards that I realized and we all had to get off at Beckenham Junction.”

Police are continuing their search for a suspect after the stabbing in south London which left a man with life-threatening injuries.
British Transport Police (BTP) said it received reports of two men fighting while entering a train at Shortlands railway station in Bromley shortly before 4pm on Wednesday.

Footage has circulated on social media showing a man wearing a black hooded jacket, black trousers and a face mask holding a large blade.
Shocked onlookers can be heard desperately pleading with the attacker to stop as the horrifying order played out in broad daylight.
BTP said on Wednesday night: “Officers are carrying out extensive inquiries to trace the suspect for a stabbing at Beckenham Junction.
“You will see an enhanced police presence across stations in the area throughout the night and into tomorrow.
“We do not believe there is any risk to the wider public.”
No arrests had been made and inquiries were ongoing, BTP added.
Train services in the area were disrupted until around 6.30pm as police dealt with the incident.
A Southeastern trains spokesperson said: “We are aware of a serious incident on board one of our services this afternoon. We are urgently assisting the British Transport Police and would urge anyone with any information to contact them immediately.
“All of our trains are fitted with CCTV and we will be providing this footage to the British Transport Police to assist with their enquiries.
“We also have an integrated safeguarding team, comprised of Southeastern, BTP and Network Rail colleagues and we are already working together to find those responsible.”
