The agricultural fair “Magdalena Tierra de Agricultores” was held with great success in the town of Gaira. The event was organized by the Chamber of Commerce of Santa Marta for Magdalena (CamComercio) in support of the District Mayor’s Office.
The event helped the farmers sell their products and get the profits immediately without any intermediary. The buyers who came to the Gaira park also benefited from purchasing the items at a lower cost than usual.
At the event there was a great variety of products such as cassava, potatoes, bananas, green bananas, all types of vegetables, Creole eggs, cheese, Creole chicken, this diversity of items energized the entry and exit of the attendees who took advantage of the prices. to acquire them.
The undersecretary of rural development Yorlenis Suarez in dialogue with EL INFORMADOR stated “the fair was a success, I left around ten in the morning and there were already stores that did not have their products, there were a lot of people, people came and went, it was “An impressive number of people came to the place to support the farmers and benefit from the prices that the fair had.”
For the celebration of Children’s Day, recreational activities were carried out with the children, where they could participate in games, receive gifts, and the organizers brought mechanical games for their entertainment.
The buyers indicated that they liked this activity and hope that they continue doing it, that in the town of Gaira they had never seen this initiative and it is very satisfying to acquire fresh farm products ready for consumption.
