With great deployment, 90 workers from the municipality’s Urban Cleaning area have been carrying out a maintenance operation for 15 days at Agreste Park, a wooded space that is located just five minutes from the city center. Some time ago, due to the rains and flooding of the Neuquén River, it was flooded, making it impossible for residents to walk through the 27 hectares of green.
The Undersecretary of Urban Cleaning, Cristian Haspert, commented that they are leaving the Park in good condition so that on this extra long weekend it can be enjoyed for recreational or sports activities, and pointed out that they will be working with the cleaning of the place until the Thursday inclusive.
“Cleaning in these places is not only hygiene, it is also safety,” said the official, and along these lines he detailed that corrective pruning is being carried out on the paths and removing weeds since “citizens are so accustomed to walking and strolling.” in this space”.
Regarding the daily cleaning of the Park, he commented that “three times a week the Urban Cleaning employees tour this place to check if there is garbage and to clean the waste baskets.”
Finally, he asked the neighbors not to take the wood that is on the site because “it is totally prohibited since it is a protected area,” and he invited everyone to Agreste Park because “there is a very interesting. “It is a very nice place.”
