Families that were affected can continue applying for support in www.fundacionteapoyamos.cl.
The contributions consist mainly of basic household goods and construction materials.
In response to the accidents that occurred in February in the Valparaíso Region, Andrónico Luksic’s Te Apoyamos Foundation activated various supports for the affected families. These aids can be of different types, including:
- Materials and tools to rebuild the home.
- Furniture and essential belongings (Example: beds, mattresses, etc.).
- Appliances and basic equipment for the home (kitchen, refrigerator, etc.)
- Technical aids for chronically ill people, people with disabilities and older adults (clinical cots, wheelchairs, etc.).
- Basic tools or machinery to reactivate the venture.
- Teaching material or tools for students.
The foundation’s contributions, which to date total more than 150, have been concentrated in the communities of Villa Dulce and Canal Beagle in Viña del Mar, where aid has been channeled effectively thanks to the visits made by the teams in foundation land.
“The commitment of Fundación Te Apoyamos is to continue contributing to the reconstruction and recovery of the communities affected by the fires. For this reason, we have been on the ground trying to lend a hand to those who have suffered with this tragedy,” said Cristina Birrell, executive director of Te Apoyamos.
He added that “we invite neighbors who need support to apply for our aid, to enter our website, our social networks, and send us their information so that we can contact them and hopefully be able to help them in these complex times.”
