At the National Institute of Territorial Planning and Urban Planning (Inotu) it is necessary to adapt Cuban technology platforms to have more productivity and other development possibilities.

This was stated by Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party and President of the Republic, at the organization’s annual review meeting, to which he indicated strengthening the link with technological advance institutions and computerizing the urban cadastre procedures. .

For his part, Manuel Marrero Cruz, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee and prime minister, directed systematic monitoring of the implementation of the plans in the territorial planning, as well as raising the existence of their compliance and identifying and updating them in function of the development of the municipalities.

He reflected that illegalities are not a simple problem of order, because “without discipline and control there are no results.”

He proposed carrying out a survey of procedures in rural communities to facilitate the management of the town, strengthen the university-business alliance, and offer professional services in foreign countries.

Regarding inspection work, Marrero Cruz indicated improving attention to inspectors, “so that they feel motivated and not compromised,” and in this way greater confrontation of illegalities is achieved.

Raúl Omar Acosta Gregorich, president of Inotu, when presenting the organization’s projections for this year, pointed out that “the path has to be digitalization to eliminate fraud.”

He added that they also plan to ensure the use of government platforms intended for the processing services provided by the institute in the municipalities, as well as validate, in the first quarter, the presentation of values ​​in 100% of the territories, and conclude the cadastre. computerized urban system in all provinces, except in Havana, which ends in 2025.

This working meeting was also attended by Joel Queipo Ruiz, member of the Secretariat of the Party’s Central Committee and head of its Economic-Productive Department, and Inés María Chapman Waugh, vice prime minister.
