Leicy Santos and Mayra Ramírez return to the Colombian National Team. The two players will be on the FIFA date in April for the friendlies against Mexico (Orlando) and Guatemala (New York). “The technical director of the Colombia Women’s Senior National Team, Ángelo Marsiglia, announced the list of players who will compete during the FIFA international period from April 1 to 10. The National Team will gather in Bogotá on March 31 and will travel from April 1 to 10 to Orlando and New York (United States) to play two friendly matches against Mexico and Guatemala, respectively,” the FCF reported.
The National Team continues to prepare for the Olympics in which it was placed in Group A along with France, Canada and New Zealand. The debut will be on Thursday, July 25, starting at 2 in the afternoon against the Europeans, to the rivals in its area that it has faced the most in history (3 losses and 1 victory).
After this April FIFA date, two more will come to complete the preparation for Paris 2024. First there will be one from May 27 to June 4 and finally they will close a few days after the debut with another double day that will take place from July 8 to 16.
Five players are not on this list compared to the last ones called up: Mónica Ramos, Lorena Bedoya, Diana Celis, Ivonne Chacón and Elexa Bahr. While, The main new additions are: Leicy Santos, Mayra Ramírez, Kelly Caicedo and Gabriela Huertas.
