The final assessment of the political process of presentation to the workers of the Plan and Budget of the economy for the year 2024 focused the debate in the periodic provincial plenary session carried out by representatives of the fifteen unions and the Provincial Committee of the Central Workers of Cuba (CTC). ) in Holguin.
The assemblies of members and workers constituted favorable scenarios to evaluate the internal reserves of each group, analyze the payment systems and the distribution of profits based on efficiency and reflect in relation to the saving and rational use of energy and the prevention of crime.
In the presence of Idalmis Serrano Gómez, provincial secretary of the CTC in Holguín, those present exchanged the outstanding innovative results of the health sector, the dissatisfactions that transcended the transportation workers and the usefulness of the nickel company in the necessary electricity generation.
In this sense, Ismael Drullet Pérez, member of the National Secretariat of the CTC, urged, through the comprehensive view of the assembly process, professional ethical reasoning and the deepening of work with the moral reserves of cadres.
At the meeting, where Arelis Marrero Guerrero, member of the Central and Provincial Committee of the PCC in the province, was present, special interest was paid to the action plan guided by the provincial committee of the CTC to stimulate the economy based on the diagnosis of distortions in the internal and the conscious increase in the production of food, goods and services.
This plan summarizes the eight distortions detected by the organization and proposes more than 40 actions aimed, mainly, at achieving greater commitment to the labor movement, promoting the unionization of new economic actors, consolidating union activism on social networks and complying with the workers’ guard schedules.
The day concluded with the recognition of the municipal committees of the CTC in Moa, “Rafael Freyre” and “Calixto García” for their outstanding work in fulfilling their union missions.
