Camagüey, March 29.- The Provincial Center of Hygiene, Epidemiology and Microbiology (CPHEM) of Camagüey has marked a milestone by being the first health entity in the region to receive the status XXII Congress of the Central Workers of Cuba (CTC) .

Madelein del Risco Espinosa, member of the Municipal Committee of the Health Union, when presenting the award, highlighted that this recognition is not only a reflection of the good union functioning and compliance with the state mandate, but also of the exemplary leadership in internal control and revolutionary surveillance.

He asserted that the discipline and constant operation of the health institutions associated with the center are testimony to the effort and dedication to serving the community.

Doctor Iluminada Menéndez Placeres, director of CPHEM expressed her pride and considered that this honor is a stimulus to improve and raise work standards and with an eye on the future they aspire to obtain the distinction of Moral Collective Center, a title that would reflect the spirit and ethics of the collective.

Satisfaction of working conditions for specialists and staff, along with adequate management of financial and material resources, are outstanding aspects that contribute to occupational health and safety, Menéndez Placeres pointed out.

The unions of Camagüey carry out their organic process with the objective of evaluating the possible candidates who will represent the territory in the XXII Congress of the CTC, scheduled for 2025 in the Cuban capital.
