The Government’s adjustment impacted several areas and promises to continue cutting in several more. The eaters are the ones who suffer from the chainsaw and, even though the situation is urgent, they try to survive with the resources they have.

The solidarity journalist Justo Lamas, together with the representative of the Sueños de Esperanza dining room, María Martínez, told in Saturday good how they go through this raw moment.

“The truth is that seeing myself in this situation of not being able, of not having anything to give to the kids, makes me sad,” commented the leader of the Monte Grande space. She also reported an alarming fact: “Many canteens are closing. I was left alone, everyone who went to other canteens is now coming here.”

María said that there is an inversely proportional equation, because the more dining rooms that close, she logically has a greater number of attendees in hers. “There is a waiting list and there are days when I have nothing to give them,” she said.

Furthermore, she does not work and is in an extreme situation, because she explained that if she works, “I leave the dining room empty.”
