The Minister of Security and Justice, Marcelo Ramon Dominguezand the mayor of the city of Salta, Emiliano Durandsigned this morning the renewal of the cooperation agreement through which they work together on road safety in the municipal ejido.
The agreement establishes the implementation of a modern system that will be used in vehicle controls carried out in the Capital. This incorporation will enhance preventive work, carry out comprehensive supervision and make the execution of infractions and their settlement more efficient.
The Minister highlighted the importance of adding technology to streamline preventive work and emphasized that the reduction in accidents in Salta is one of the main axes of the Security and Justice Plan 2024 -2027.
“We cannot afford to continue with these high accident rates, mostly the result of excessive speed and the presence of drunk drivers who, through their irresponsibility, cause the loss of human life. In this sense, we are joining efforts with the Municipality so that the community becomes aware and respects road regulations,” Domínguez said.
For his part, the mayor indicated that the devices will be delivered on loan by the Municipality. In the same sense, he highlighted the importance of working jointly with the Ministry of Security and Justice in addressing central problems such as road safety, optimizing resources between the Province and the Municipality for the safety of the people of Salta.
The Minister was accompanied by the Administrative Coordinator of the Ministry of Security and Justice, Soraya Dipp.
