In a socioeconomic context marked by increasing poverty and constant inflation, more and more Santa Fe residents face the difficult task of covering their basic needs. Faced with this reality, institutions such as the Nuestra Señora de Luján parish – located at Av. Aristóbulo del Valle 6090 – have become pillars of support for the most vulnerable sectors. From there, they distribute food four times a week – Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays – and face a growing number of people requiring food assistance.

In this sense, the parish priest Marc Munia assured that between 200 and 220 rations are delivered per day. The demand has spread beyond the neighborhood, “we help with what we have.” “There are some people who come from the La Loma and Villa Hipódromo neighborhoods, people who come from far away and we open our hearts to everyone,” he explained.

The parish does not have any type of subsidy or assistance from the State, for this reason, Munia invited “all people of good will who want to collaborate and provide help to our brothers most in need with a package of noodles, rice, minced meat.” .

Mónica, one of the volunteers, highlighted the hard work they do at the institution. “We cook from 8 o’clock and at 10:30 we start serving the people who come very early,” she explained. However, resources are scarce. “The freezers are empty, we are lacking meat and legumes to have adequate nutritional value,” she commented.

Finally, she called for solidarity: “We need many supportive hands and collaborators. Maybe there are people who don’t know what to do with their time and this is also an alternative to coming to do service,” the volunteer concluded.

To collaborate and make donations, those interested can contact the parish through the number (342) 6531898.
