The Neiva Metropolitan Police, in carrying out registration and control activities, manages to remove a firearm from the streets of commune 1.
Through work carried out by units of the national police intervention and anti-terrorism unit, in the jurisdiction of Neiva, the capture of “Cristobal” was achieved for the crime of illegal possession of firearms.
This person was moving through the Falla Bernal settlement, more precisely when, upon seeing uniformed men taking a background check, he fled.
When he is reached later, a search is carried out to rule out the possession of any element that could threaten the humanity of the population and a 9 mm pistol-type firearm, black, with 01 magazine and 01 cartridge for the same.
The 18-year-old man was captured for the crime of Trafficking, manufacturing or carrying firearms and/or ammunition. He was placed at the disposal of the competent authority, who will be in charge of defining his judicial situation.
