Neighbors of the Route E55, also known as Argentine Army Avenue, in Córdoba, have held a protest against the toll located in the urban area. The call took place this Friday night and included a large number of vehicles.
In dialogue with Chain 3 The neighbors expressed their complaint and asked that the situation of this position, which they consider illegal, be reviewed.
“It is the first time dozens of cars gather on a Friday night, we gather like we have for a year,” said Ignacio, one of the protesters. “This does not correspond. This toll is the only one in the RAC that is in an urban area,” he added.
Mirta, a lawyer and local resident, confirmed that the toll is located in an urban area and explained: “The same concession contract establishes that the toll booths cannot be located in an urban area.” The lawyer also revealed that the neighbors presented two pending legal actions: an administrative claim before Governor Llaryora initiated in March and a bill supported by eight different political spaces.
Awaiting legislative treatment
“This is in the commission’s office and is being processed,” Mirta said about the project presented. The neighbors hope that all legislators will vote in favor to eliminate what they consider an injustice for citizens. “This toll is already intolerable,” she concluded.
