The Chamber of Commerce of Córdoba announced the results of the Commercial Observatory corresponding to April 2024 sales, which reflect a significant drop in sales.
It did so based on an exclusive survey by the entity in the city’s commercial corridors and shopping malls. More than 80% of businesses did not meet their sales expectations.
In April there was a 26.2% drop in unit sales and a 14% drop in profitability, compared to the same month of the previous year.
Meanwhile, there was a 10.8% decrease in unit sales and an 11% decrease in profitability, compared to March.
This survey showed the deepening of the year-on-year sales decline, however, on a month-on-month basis a slowdown was recorded.

The average ticket in April 2024 was $59,300.
Although no item managed to maintain or exceed the sales level, in the case of electronics-computer science, clothing-footwear and household items the decrease was greater.
Regarding payment methods, the credit card continued to be the most used followed by electronic means and the debit card. Cash was the least used.
