Athletes and rhythmic gymnastics coaches from Cienfuegos are working to improve the twelfth position of the previous version of the School Games.
Without being the most established rhythmic gymnastics in Cienfuegos sports, historically on several occasions in the School Games it has had relevant performances to the point of positioning itself among the leaders in the country.
Isabel León Sarduy, coach, expresses that at this moment they are in the special preparation stage, “all the programs are already set up, they are making adjustments and are ironing out some aspects that may be missing, this year they have a team with a little more experience Among them are two girls with an immediate perspective and we trust that we can improve the results of the previous year.”
Meanwhile, Liany María Curbelo said that she came from artistic gymnastics to rhythmic gymnastics and hopes to have good results in the School Games.
For her part, Keily Torres said that she came from artistic gymnastics for rhythmic gymnastics because she likes the implements of this sport and all the exercises they do and she hopes to have a good result and contribute to her team.
Willingness and desire to work prevails in the rhythmic gymnastics athletes and coaches of Cienfuegos, despite resource limitations, they do not give up climbing to the highest levels and look for alternatives so that the practice of this sport extends to the eight municipalities of the territory, since Currently it is only exercised in the provincial capital. In this sense, the municipality of Rodas is working to begin its practice before the end of the year.
