Aguazul achieves international financing for the animal slaughter plant

An animal processing plant with industrial processing capacity for meat and other livestock products will be built in the vicinity of the rice capital, exactly in the border area between agroindustry and livestock savannahs.

The announcement was made for Boyacá Sie7e Days by Mayor Nelson Camacho, who reached agreements with North American investors to invest in the construction of an animal benefit plant (slaughter plant) in Aguazul

The American company Ford Farms Colombia will invest in Aguazul in the construction of the first pig and cattle slaughter plant, an industrial complex that will operate near the town center of San José del Bubuy, on the road that connects Aguazul with Maní. The plant, according to studies released this Friday, will have a slaughter capacity of 600 animals every eight hours.

Foreign investors Luz Miriam González and Mark Ford socialized the initiative during the development of the Livestock Auction held in Suba-casanare Yopal, where ranchers and livestock traders were able to learn about the designs of one of the most important projects for the agricultural sector, which It will benefit rural entrepreneurs from the departments of Casanare, Meta, Vichada, Boyacá and other regions of the country, who will be able to be part of the meat supply in national and international markets.


This management by Mayor Nelson Camacho responds to his main government commitment to seek strategic public-private allies to invest in different projects that reactivate the municipality’s economy and generate new sources of employment.
