Santander Police uniforms captured a 46-year-old man in San Gil for repeatedly sexually abusing a 14-year-old minor. The arrest occurred after an arrest warrant issued by the First Criminal Circuit Court of the Municipality of San Gil.
The facts for which he is charged with the crime of abusive sexual intercourse with a minor under 14 years of age date back to the years 2018 and 2019, when the subject touched and sexually abused his 11-year-old daughter.
The investigation indicates that the man took advantage of his status as “parent” to access the minor at night, when the other members of the family were going to sleep.
This aberrant fact became known thanks to a complaint made by the Colombian Institute of Family Welfare. The captured person was left at the disposal of the competent authorities.
Alert for sexual abuse in Santander
Last Friday, April 26, a 77-year-old man was captured in San Gil, Santander, and sent to prison for the crime of sexual intercourse with a minor under 14 years of age.
The National Police and the Technical Investigation Corps, CTI, of the Prosecutor’s Office managed to capture the elderly adult who was recognized in the San Gil market square.
The accused was already being investigated for sexually abusing a minor under 14 years of age repeatedly during 2015, in the El Vergel neighborhood of ‘Perla del Fonce’. The man captured today is accused of committing ‘touching’ and humiliation against the victim.
After being presented at a hearing before the San José Valley Court, his capture was legalized, charges were brought against him and an intramural security measure was issued.
