The commander of the Montería Metropolitan Police, Colonel Carlos García, confirmed the capture of two individuals who would be known in the criminal world with the aliases of ‘The little monkey’ and ‘The Gago‘, alleged members of the Gulf Clan who would have participated in the attacks against the La Economía pharmacy chain, registered on April 22 in nine of the 30 municipalities of Córdoba.

According to what was established, the capture was carried out by Gaula of the Metropolitan Police of Montería in coordination with the Attorney General’s Office in the township new Portrural area of ​​the municipality of San Pelayo.

According to the investigation carried out by the authorities, these subjects would have participated in the firearm attacks in the municipalities of San Pelayo and Cereté, belonging to the Metropolitan Area of ​​Montería.

“In the same procedure, material elements of evidence were seized, important for clarifying the acts of violence that occurred on April 22 in the department. Among the items seized, We have war material, suppliers, ammunition of different calibers, a firearm, cell phones and clothing similar to that recorded on security cameras in one of the affected drugstores. “We are talking about a diver, some tennis shoes, the same firearm and a balaclava,” said Colonel García.
