With two mobile posts, the Municipal Castration Campaign will continue touring the city of Santo Tomé

The castration campaign for dogs and cats (male and female) carried out by the Municipality of Santo Tomé will continue touring the neighborhoods with two mobile phones working simultaneously, in order to expand the volume of care.

Always after 1 p.m.interventions are carried out without turn and in order of arrival, until completing a maximum quota of 20 animals per day. Anti-rabies vaccination, deworming and basic veterinary care are also carried out from 1pm to 4pm.

Those responsible for pets must attend with ID. For questions or more information, interested parties can call 342 5459312 from Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Requirements for sterilization

Pets must be accompanied by an elderly person and be over 6 months old. In addition, they must fast solid and liquid for 12 hours before the intervention.

If they have had babies, the females must have completed a postpartum period of more than 60 days. Cats should be carried in a carrier or ventilated bag, and dogs on a leash, collar and muzzle, if applicable.

Pet owners are advised to bring a blanket to keep their pets warm after surgery. Likewise, it is important to know the risks of anesthesia.
