14 restaurants in Manizales join the Burger Master challenge

The week arrives in which we live hamburger fever in several cities in the country and Manizales is no stranger to competition.

From tomorrow until next May 5, the new edition of the Burger Master with 14 participating restaurants and will have a cost of $18 thousand in each place.

This competition has been held since 2019 and The first winning hamburger in the city was Güeritos. Last year the title went to La Milagrosa Burger House.

LA PATRIA spoke with three of the competing restaurants to find out the following:

  3. How many hamburgers do you expect to sell?

“Combines the delicious flavor of our meat”

Origin Restaurant

  1. Origen brings the Golden Burger, a burger that combines the delicious flavor of our meat with the intense flavor of bacon prepared in a sauce with Ron Viejo de Caldas, accompanied by cheddar cheese, sautéed mushrooms, caramelized onion, pickles and fresh lettuce.
  2. It is a great logistics that we are doing with our staff and even our family, every moment of the process has been thought out and prepared with a lot of love and dedication, hoping that whoever comes to try our Golden Burger will have a great experience.
  3. We plan to sell 3,500 hamburgers this week.

“We wanted to highlight something very much ours”

Burger Hill Manizales

  1. Our burger is called La Secreta de Caldas. We wanted to highlight something very much our own, such as the Rum Viejo de Caldas Juan de la Cruz and to do so we created a liquid sauce with panela and notes of orange juice, which contrasts perfectly with crispy chicharrón snow, juicy grilled morrillo meat, cheese melted Colby Jack, green tomato and cilantro sauce for freshness. Likewise, bread made from sourdough with a cheese crust.
  2. We have been preparing for this event for months, looking for the ideal recipe, our challenge was to have a burger in which each ingredient, in addition to being harmonious, was not to the taste of most people, and we believe that we have achieved it, we also trained our staff to be organized to serve all the city’s hamburger eaters in an agile manner, but above all with quality.
  3. More than selling a certain number of hamburgers, what we seek is to attract new audiences to Burger Hill, since it is a great opportunity for more people to learn about our products. We bet on good service and quality so that people return. We expect about 3 thousand.

The Shiraka

  1. It’s called The Shirangus with juicy 100% angus meat. The difference is made first by the addition of shredded pork leg in artisanal BBQ sauce and our new house special sweet and sour green sauce, which comes from a special recipe from our great-great-grandmother. We make these flavors with the combination of other ingredients such as a silky melted cheese, slices of fresh tomato and red onion (optional).
  2. About a month ago we started the process of selecting ingredients to make the burger with our kitchen team. Some products have undergone the vacuum packaging process to achieve the perfect burger, with an unmatched flavor. We have also trained the La Shiraka logistics and events group that will accompany us to receive and serve our clients to achieve a wonderful experience.
  3. We want at least 8 thousand customers to give themselves the pleasure of trying a delicious gourmet burger with angus beef, which can normally cost between $34 thousand and $36 thousand.
