In the last few hours, a minor was reported for having set fire to a 10-year-old girl in the Santa Marta neighborhood, district of Lomas de zamora. The complainant, the minor’s mother, accused the neighbor and said that attacked his daughter “out of jealousy”.

The episode, which has just become known, took place on March 27 at the door of a house located on 1300 Bustos Street. There, V. was with his parents and brothers, finalizing preparations to go on a trip to the Atlantic Coast to be able to enjoy the extra long weekend that occurred during Holy Week.

In the middle of the preparations, a friend and neighbor on the block – 11 years old – invited her to “make a fire” to scare away the invasion of mosquitoes that affected the entire suburbs during those weeks.

“He told my daughter to light a match, but then He poured alcohol on her and set her on fire.“V.’s mother reported at the police station in the town of Parque Barón, in Lomas. She “she threw away the alcohol, dropped the bottle and he sat there looking at everything“, is stated in the writing.

According to the complaint made by the victim’s mother, the girl “first burned her leg,” and then explained that “the flames spread to almost her entire body.” “Minus the face, thank God,” Alejandra said in a note published by Diario Conurbano.

As reported by the TN news channel, the girl was quickly assisted by her family and then transferred to the Burn Hospital of the City of Buenos Aires. There she was hospitalized for several days in the intensive care room.

According to the minor’s mother, V. must continue with a recovery that will take at least two years.

Although it is known that the aggressor is a minor, the woman asked the Justice precautionary measures against the accused boy, with the aim of finding out “if he suffers from psychiatric problems or in what family context he lives.”

The mother of the burned girl said that the boy attacked her daughter “out of jealousy” for the family trip they were going to takeand assured that it was not an accident, since the same boy “almost set fire to a neighbor’s house” a few months ago.

The case is already in the hands of the Functional Instruction Unit (UFI) of the Juvenile Criminal Responsibility Jurisdiction 1 of the Judicial Department of Lomas de Zamora and was classified as “illicit investigation.”

V’s letter.

The girl who recovered from the serious burns suffered wrote a letter in which she told in first person what the attack was like from someone who was her friend and neighbor.

“He told me to make a bonfire for the mosquitoes, he told me to light a match. “I did what he told me, and he threw the alcohol at me,” she said.

In a letter reproduced by the newspaper La Unión, V. continued: “The second thing I saw was a lot of fire, and I ran everywhere, screaming. They threw water on me, so the fire was put out, and they took me running to the living room,” he concluded.
