With the presence of the regional ministerial secretary of Education of Aysén, Isabel Garrido; the director of the Local Public Education Service of Aysén, Sebastián González Rogers, the deputy director of the Technical Pedagogical Area of ​​the SLEP Aysén, Francisca Camus; the professional of the Executive Secretariat of Technical and Professional Secondary Education, Manuel Morales Pezoa; The guidelines, progress and actions contemplated in the work of the Aysén Technical Future Network, public policy of the Ministry of Education, implemented by NGO Canales in the region, were announced.

After the protocol greetings, the Seremi of Education of Aysén, Isabel Garrido, highlighted the importance of promoting links with actors in the territory, which is another of the objectives of the Network and in this context.

“We have strengthened different existing initiatives and promoted new ones; For example, in the last period, five establishments in the region were awarded significant funds, for more than 300 million pesos, to update their professional technical equipment,” he said.-

“In addition, we are developing a curricular update of different specialties, in conjunction with the Pedagogical and Curricular Congress and, we continue working together with NGO Canales to continue establishing networks of articulation of professional technical establishments, which is highly valued and necessary to continue improving the quality of teaching in this TP space,” he indicated.

Sustainability and Country Development

For his part, the professional from the Executive Secretariat of Technical and Professional Secondary Education, Manuel Morales, spoke on the topic “Technical and Professional Education for Sustainable Human Development”, thus addressing the challenges for TP education from training and from the workplace. .

“We are strengthening the participation of students, teachers and educational communities in decision-making, which leads us to effectively have an idea of ​​sustainable development of the country and particularly of the region,” he indicated.

In addition to providing details about the activities contained in the 2024 training plan, the regional director of the Canales Aysén NGO, Bernardita Lazo Reyes, took stock of the work carried out in 2023.

“These types of activities are always very favorable for the relationship between establishments of the Network, especially in person and with the participation of authorities who were willing to talk, clarify doubts and get involved in the activities. Furthermore, we appreciate that establishments located outside the commune were mobilized to participate in this launch milestone and the distributed leadership workshop,” he emphasized.

Territorial Identity

Later, the first accompaniment session for management teams in the context of distributed leadership was held, taught by Viviana Zapata, in which the current institutional management practices were analyzed, urging participants to carry out information gathering. and subsequent reflective process to identify opportunities for improvement in the school management of their establishments.

The objective of the Technical Future Network is to strengthen the country’s Technical and Professional Secondary Education, generating and promoting association and collaboration between educational establishments belonging to the Aysén region, articulating with the regional environment, through links with Higher Education institutions. public and private and, with the world of work, maintaining a focus on territorial identity.
