The femicide of Cecilia Strzyzowski -which generated a strong social and political impact in Chaco- had a new twist, just before being put on trial by jury. The news occurred when the Special Prosecutor’s Team (EFE) began to notify the accusations against the seven detainees.
He change occurred in the accusation of the parents of Caesar Senathe main accused of the femicide. Emerenciano Sena and Marcela Acuña were located by prosecutors outside the crime scene. Therefore, they considered them primary authors and not co-authors of the act.
The new accusation against Sena Sr. and Acuña is of a lesser degree than the previous one. In any case, the crime for which they are accused also includes the penalty of life imprisonment. Formally, the accusation is for murder doubly aggravated (due to the link and because it was committed in the context of gender violence) as primary participants.
The modification in the indictment of the piqueteros allies of former governor Jorge Capitanich occurred because prosecutors understand that Strzyzowski’s crime occurred hours before Sena and Acuña arrived at the family home. In that place, according to the investigation, the young woman was murdered on June 2 of last year.
