Designing a strategy to combat cattle rustling and establishing a permanent security table are the results of the security council held in Monterrey, Casanare.
Representatives of different citizen sectors and the authorities of the municipalities of Monterrey, Tauramena, Villanueva and Sabanalarga attended what they called the regional union, as a strategy to strengthen citizen security.
The objective is to unify efforts between the Government of Casanare, the mayors, the Public Force, citizen and community organizations, to strengthen the fight against crime in urban and rural areas, especially cattle rustling in the south of the department.
One of the conclusions of this council has to do with the installation of a regional security table in the south of Casanare, in which there will be the presence of the municipalities of Aguazul, Maní, Chámeza and Recetor, an organization from which it is expected to come out. actions to combat micro-narcotics trafficking, robbery, residential robbery, assault, extortion, ticketing and theft of cattle.
Alejandro Ballesteros told Boyacá Sie7e Days that, it is important to articulate all processes with the Territorial Security Fund (Fonset) in search of identifying a common pool so that the investment in the National Army, Police, Prosecutor’s Office, UNP and other citizen security organizations is truly seen, in order to leverage with strategies that are tangible, since the criminal cannot be allowed to get stronger.
The proposal is that in all the municipalities of an area, in this case the south of Casanare, the law enforcement authorities prioritize the investment in offering citizens, regardless of where they live or their social status, security in their property and their family. and in its physical stability.
