In a series of rapid interventions, the Mendoza Police arrested 14 people involved in various criminal acts in different areas of Greater Mendoza, East, Uco Valley and South of the province. The procedures, between Monday and early Tuesday morning, were carried out within the framework of the patrol tasks that the troops have been carrying out in the departments, where 911 and the monitoring of the CEO were key to clarification.

This is how three men were captured in the City of Mendoza on Monday afternoon. The first was found trying to steal part of the perimeter fabric of the Moldes Metrotram Station. The contribution of the man’s characteristics after a call to 911 began the investigation, which concluded with the whereabouts of the person and the recovery of the stolen material.

A few hours later, the uniformed officers arrested another person who wanted to steal merchandise from a wine shop in the Fifth Section. Once again, the call to the CEO allowed the Police to quickly approach and apprehend the man, who was taken to court.

While, in another procedure carried out in the City, the theft of a cell phone from a woman waiting for the bus was foiled. Neighbors managed to stop the thief while they called 911 for his quick arrest.

Meanwhile, the Uco Valley was the epicenter of several more arrests. For a few days now, the departmental agencies have been carrying out intense patrols in the productive areas to find a small group of people who are dedicated to the theft of nuts. The operations have been carried out by the Special Patrol Unit (UEP), who detained six men and recovered more than 200 kilos of the fruit in the last hours.

On the other hand, in the Casas Viejas and Cobos lane of San Carlos they recovered a stolen bicycle and arrested a 22-year-old young man, the perpetrator of the incident.

East and South provinces

Continuing with the successful results of the patrols, the Police managed to capture three individuals while they were stealing olives in Junín. It happened when police officers from the San Martín Special Patrol Unit were traveling north along Corvalán Street and were transferred by the CEO to the Orfila Farm, since people were stealing olives.

Immediately, an operation was organized that culminated in the arrest of the individuals and 120 kilograms of olives were confiscated, distributed in two burlap bags of 50 kg each, three burlap bags cut in half and a plastic crate. In addition, tools used in the robbery were seized, such as a saw, scissors, pliers and a French wrench, as well as a backpack and a fanny pack.

Finally, in San Rafael, police forces arrested an individual who was selling narcotics. After his capture, cocaine and marijuana wrappers were seized, as well as the sum of 26,000 pesos in cash and a cell phone, crucial for the investigation.
