“This new type of food is rich in proteins and has a lot of nutritional quality, and it is a contribution that we want to make through science for Tucumán’s childhood,” said a specialist.

Representatives of the National Council for Scientific and Technical Research (CONICET) were received today by the Minister of Social Development, Federico Massoto discuss the progress of the work located at the Experimental Station, which will allow the institution to mass produce the “Super Tortilla.”

In this regard, Masso expressed: “We had a very positive meeting where we talked about the importance of providing continuity and finishing the structural work at the Experimental Station, which is intended for the production of soy flour that will allow the mass production of the protein tortilla. . We discussed the possibility of the Provincial Government, led by Osvaldo Jaldo, providing the money to complete the work.”

“This will allow us to reach more than 270 thousand children who today have breakfast in our schools. We also talked about the possibility of adding vitamin C and other products to cooked mate to compensate for the value of milk, since they are fundamental things that we love and are going to take care of,” added the Minister.

For his part, Castagnaro stated: “We discussed how we can finish the soy flour production plant to improve the production of nutritional tortillas and other foods, so they can be distributed in school cafeterias and other food containment points.”

“This new type of food is rich in proteins and has a lot of nutritional quality, and it is a contribution that we want to make from science for Tucumán’s childhood,” he concluded.
