Six landslides affect the mobility and safety of travelers on the Quibdó-Medellín highway in the Tolda, El Piñón and Bombay sectors at kilometers 43, 62 and 84respectively.

Through a statement, The Government of Chocó recommended that road users follow the recommendations of the authoritiesand if possible, wait for the total reopening of the Quibdó-Medellín highway, which It does not yet have an estimated release date.

The governor of Chocó, Nubia Carolina Córdoba, said that “The preventive closure of the Quibdó-Medellín highway is due to the intensity of the rains in the last few hours and the landslides that have occurred. Work is underway to remove the collapses but citizens’ caution is required while conditions improve.”
