After conflictive weeks in the Iaposwhich included cutting benefits with providers in Rosario, the governor Pullaro crossed the administrative management of social work to the Ministry of Economy.
The news emerged after the signing of the decree by which the head of the Gray House decides that the administration of the Provincial Autárquico Institute of Social Work (Iapos), will remain under the orbit of Pablo Olivares with the aim of reversing the deficit that has been increasing in recent times.

Pullaro also decided to transfer the area that is in charge of centralized purchases for the entire Ministry of Health to also move to Economy. In charge of that secretariat was the former Minister of Health of socialism and also former director of Iapos, Miguel González.
This Wednesday, within the framework of the opening of ordinary sessions, the head of the economic portfolio was consulted on the matter. He clarified that “the Iapos must always have a need for balance between the financing that it has, by its law, and the benefits that it must perform.”

He explained that “the challenge is that Iapos continues to have instructions regarding benefits from the Ministry of Health, but that the organizational and financial approach can be closer to the Ministry of Economy.”
Along those lines, he indicated: “The objective is to reach more efficient agreements with providers that allow having the same benefits with the lowest possible evolution of costs”.
He stated that “if the health funders of the private system are offering certain increases to the same providers, we understand that the Iapos does not have to have increases greater than that.”
