Cundinamarca promotes connectivity in rural areas with Satellite Internet

In an effort to reduce the digital divide and promote technological inclusion, the ICT Secretariat of Cundinamarca, in collaboration with the Ministry of the sector and other strategic partners, has launched an ambitious project that will bring Satellite Internet to 88 rural communities in the region. department. This initiative seeks to provide internet access in those areas where, due to their geographical location, connectivity is limited or non-existent.

The implementation of this project will be carried out in phases, prioritizing in its initial stage 33 municipalities of Cundinamarca that will benefit from this technology. The ICT Secretariat has worked hard to install the necessary infrastructure and ensure a stable and reliable connection in these remote communities.

The implementation process of Satellite Internet in the rural areas of Cundinamarca includes:

1. Characterization of the benefited communities

The Satellite Internet initiative in Cundinamarca not only seeks to provide internet access, but also to close the digital divide and provide equal opportunities to all people, regardless of their geographic location.
