The art of drawing a character and making it come to life through different techniques and tools makes animation an activity and profession loved by many around the world. Starting this Friday, May 3, at the Cultural Agency of the Banco de la República in Ibagué, Darío Echandía Library, the Animation Workshop will be held: frame by frame.

This will be a practical workshop, to connect with making and animated creation, reviewing drawing, composition, sound, editing and assembly factors. It will be aimed at teenagers, young people and adults.

With the guidance of the plastic and visual artist Andrés Suache, the bases of animation, triggering a movement frame by frame, will be addressed, and a space will be created that will combine both the digital and analog aspects, to enter in depth into the understanding of the dynamism.

“In the first session, which will begin this Thursday, we will do a brief introduction to animation. Those who participate in it will find themselves with the possibility of learning in a simple way to start animating their characters,” commented the artist.

“We hope they can learn to use new digital tools and make animations by drawing image by image and editing from an application that can be downloaded from their cell phone,” Suache added.

The workshop sessions are completely free and will take place every Friday in May from: 03:00 pm-05:00 pm. in the Darío Echandía Library.
