The project led by Samuel González and Felipe Castro is the winner of the National Fund for Inclusion (SENADIS) and has a group of young people with disabilities as protagonists.

For 4 months, an acting and film workshop was implemented where 12 participants learned how film works and developed techniques for acting, applying a methodology that focuses on discovering and enhancing capabilities through acting techniques and representation games.

The workshop included sessions every week where a story was also configured that would finally be interpreted by the group and recorded by a professional film technical team, The result will be a short fiction film and a documentary that shows the process from the first day of the workshop to the premiere.

On this occasion it was the outstanding actress Claudia di Girolamo who accepted this challenge and traveled to Valdivia to record some scenes with the cast.

“I believe that projects like this are absolutely essential, not only to disseminate the tireless work of SENADIS, but also to use the tools of art, (in this case cinema) as a way of inclusion by documenting diverse realities full of dignity and pride. ”said Di Girolamo, who recorded his scenes at the Cervantes Regional Theater thanks to the support of the Cultural Heritage Association.

“Plan mischief with overtones of drama and comedy, a reflection on friendship, failure and ways to address it, also an invitation to think about abilities over disabilities,” says the project director.

The Avant Premiere is planned for September of this year to then begin a circuit of national and international film festivals.

Pamelita Cisterna, SENADIS professional points out that “People with disabilities become relevant actors and stop being “subjects of assistance” to become active cultural agents” –
