Prosecutor’s Office achieves the prosecution of two alleged sexual abusers in Córdoba

After accepting the request of a prosecutor from the Center for Attention to Victims of Sexual Abuse (Caivas), guarantee control judges sent two men to prison who were allegedly involved in sexual assaults. The crimes would have been committed in Córdoba.

The first case would involve a 56-year-old man, allegedly responsible for sexually assaulting his 12-year-old nephew-in-law. The events occurred between June 2022 and July 2023 in the La Victoria neighborhood of the Berastegui district in Ciénaga de Oro.

The defendant would have abused a nephew-in-law.

The defendant was captured on April 30 by Servers of the Technical Investigation Corps (CTI). The Prosecutor’s Office charged him with the crime of abusive sexual intercourse with a minor under 14 years of age.

In another case, a 48-year-old man would have sexually abused an 18-year-old young man with cognitive disabilities. According to the complaint filed by the teenager’s mother, the events occurred in October 2023 in a home in the town of Martínez in Cereté. The Prosecutor’s Office is investigating whether there are more victims of the now accused.

It is currently being investigated whether the accused abused other victims.

On April 26, the man was captured and charged with the crime of violent carnal access, a charge he did not accept.
