The Center for Secondary and Higher Education Teachers (Cedems) called an extraordinary assembly for this Saturday, May 4 at 9:30 at its headquarters at 162 Balcarce Street.
The objective of the meeting is to define the measures to be adopted after the rejection of the provincial government’s salary proposal and within the framework of various claims that the union has been making.
The decision to hold the assembly was made by the Cedems board of directors in response to the “joint impositions, the reduction of subscriptions, the closure of divisions, the reduction of physical education groups and the violation of the joint agreement signed in June 2023”, in addition to the lack of recategorization of teaching assistants and other positions.
During the assembly, which is part of the “permanent assembly” decreed by the union, the different measures to be implemented in defense of the rights of secondary and higher level teachers will be discussed.
