The cases recorded correspond to people between the ages of 18 and 32, whose health status is reported to be stable, due to the timely care received, since both in people who suffer from heat stroke and dehydration if they are not attended to. time can cause death.

According to what is stated by health experts, heat stroke is characterized by a rapid increase in body temperature, hot and dry skin without the presence of sweat, the person may present confusion, loss of consciousness, frequent vomiting, shortness of breath. or difficulty breathing.

To avoid this type of incident that significantly compromises the health of the people of Potosí, the Health Services and the State Coordination of Civil Protection recommend that citizens avoid carrying out activities under the intense rays of the sun from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., if you cannot avoid it, rest for around 20 minutes in the shade, to regulate the body.

Wear light clothing, use sunscreen, a hat or an umbrella to protect yourself from the sun, as well as consume two liters of natural water or electrolytes, to keep the body hydrated and rule out a decompensation due to lack of water; ventilate closed places and take special care with girls and boys, older adults and people with overweight, heart disease or sweat gland problems.

It is important that during the hot season, you constantly drink water, because according to data from the World Health Organization, the water and the electrolytes They are essential for the human body, as they help regulate body temperature, keep the skin hydrated and promote good digestion.

People who do not hydrate properly can suffer from decompensation due to high temperatures which will cause symptoms such as: dizziness, headache, weakness, fatigue, dry mouth and lack of appetite. To avoid a sudden loss of water in the body, which can cause death, it is recommended to drink two to three liters of water and consume serums.
