The General Council of the National Electoral Institute declared the validity and definitiveness of the Electoral Registry and the Nominal List of Voterss for the federal and local elections on Sunday, June 2.
With this declaration, the permanent work carried out by the Executive Directorate of the Federal Register of Voters (DERFE), updating, purifying and verifying the records of registered citizensthese works They were verified in each of their stages by all the partisan representations that are members of the national, local and district surveillance commissions.with the purpose of ensuring the application of the current legal framework and the principles that govern institutional action.
The Member of the Federal Voter Registry Leoncio Moreno Castrellónpointed out that For the generation of the definitive Nominal List, multiple activities were carried out; the Intense Update Campaign from September 1, 2023 to January 22, 2024, the closing of credentialing on March 14, the cutting of the corrective purification programs to the registry (deaths, suspended political rights, duplicates, data allegedly irregularities) on March 22, the review and, where appropriate, the issuance of observations by the party representations from March 6 to 27, as well as the generation of the report derived from them by the DERFE on April 8.
Result of the aforementioned activities, he said, “At the national level we have an Electoral Registry of 98,472,789 and a Nominal List of 98,329,591with a coverage of 99.85%. In the case of San Luis Potosí, the Register consists of 2,188,825 with a List of 2,185,460 for a coverage equal to the national coverage of 99.85%”.
Regarding the composition By gender at the national level, the List is made up of 51.97% women and 48.03% men – the same proportion for San Luis Potosí.
Regarding the age range at the national level, the group from 18 to 29 represents 26.47%, from 30 to 59 years old 54.49% and from 60 or more 19.5%. For San Luis Potosí the group from 18 to 29 represents 26.87%, from 30 to 59 52.92% and from 60 or more 20.21%.
