La Llorona y su Jardín de Dragones will perform tonight at Puerto Cultural Libertad. Audiovisuals.

La Llorona y su Jardín de Dragones will take the stage tonight at 9pm at Puerto Cultural Libertad (at Las Piedras 1,850).

The group faces more than a musical show: it is an audiovisual commitment, with performances included in the show.

It is a project that moves from experimental rock to alternative indie pop, playing with sound narratives and unique images; The group constantly transforms and reinvents itself in its own aesthetic, seeking a unique style and poetics.

It is enough to have attended a presentation or seen their videos to realize that they advance much further in their ideas than other indie pop bands.

These days it is made up of Camila Plaate (voice), Felix Llomplat (voice and guitar), Julio D’Zavalia (low), Emiliano Vega (electric guitar), Juan Elsinger (keyboard) and Black Burgo (battery).

The visual artist Marto will be the guest who will accompany all the proposals of this evening with projections of his own creation and Noela Antelo will be in charge of opening the event with her Live Looping Set (a live looping that is done with samplers or loopers).

When LA GACETA interviewed Pláate in February, he responded that he likes to think of compositions as environments or landscapes. “Each place has its particularity, its form, its times, its losses and its triumphs and to know it you have to go through them. With composition, whether musical or acting or performance, whatever you want to call it, I allow myself to go through what he is proposing to obtain something of his nature,” described the musician, who is also a renowned actress.

“For me, experimentation is a way to learn about what you do and who you are there,” he added.
