The Provincial Bureau of the National Association of Small Farmers (Anap) in Cienfuegos agreed that, due to the economic, productive and operational results during the last year, the cooperative members of the municipality of Abreus will be winners of the Vanguard status in the emulation of the territory southern for Farmer’s Day.
At the meeting, they also selected Aguada de Pasajeros, Cruces and Cumanayagua as outstanding municipalities, with positive measurable indicators in greeting to May 17, the 65th anniversary of the signing of the Agrarian Reform Law and the 63rd anniversary of the establishment of Anap.
The production of food for the population; the functioning of all productive bases, confronting crime, corruption and illegalities in rural areas; social support to communities and compliance with hiring plans; as well as the activities carried out for the peasant anniversary, were the main aspects taken into account to define the venue of the event.
As a greeting to Farmer’s Day, the 101 Cienfuegos cooperatives complete activities that will culminate next week, with the municipal and provincial events in the city of Abreu.
