Depok – The driver of the white car that crashed into the yellow bus at the University of Indonesia (UI) has been identified as a student from the UI Faculty of Computer Science (Fasilkom). Three people were traveling in the car, all of them Fasilcom students. This was confirmed by UI Public Relations and head of the KIP Office, Amelita Lucía, when it was approved.

“Yes (all three are Fasilkom students),” said Amelita when she was confirmed on Saturday, May 4, 2024.

It is understood that the accident occurred in the UI campus area yesterday afternoon, Friday, May 3, 2024. The exact location was near UI City Forest, Srengseng Sawah, South Jakarta. This area directly borders Depok.
To date, no official statement has been issued regarding the chronology of this event. However, according to the information received, it is strongly suspected that the driver of the vehicle was traveling at high speed. The car then collided with a turning yellow bus and was destroyed.
“On the issue of accidents in the campus area, it is true that this incident occurred on Friday night when a car driven by our students collided with a yellow bus that was rolling,” he explained.
One person was injured in this accident. The victim suffered a fracture to his leg and was taken to the University of Indonesia Hospital (RSUI) Depok.
“The victim is currently being treated in the GDR. “Meanwhile, the police have reviewed the accident case,” she added.
Meanwhile, Depok Metropolitan Police Chief Traffic Commissioner Multazam said his party had transferred the case to the South Jakarta Metropolitan Police. After investigation, the location of the incident was in the Srengsen Sawa area, South Jakarta.
“The case was transferred to the South (Polres) because (TKP) entered Srengseng Sawah,” he said.
