The Municipal Administration of Guamal, led by José Luis Ramos Gómez, met with officials from the University of Magdalena with the purpose of renewing the agreement within the framework of cooperation between the higher education center and the Municipality of Guamal.
The agreement, which has been a fundamental piece in the educational and social development of Guamal, focuses on facilitating access to higher education for young Guamaleños, as well as promoting joint research and development projects that benefit the community.
During the meeting, several points were raised within the framework of the Magdalena Talent Program; One of them is the scholarship program that will benefit the first and second best scores in the Saber 11 tests of the Educational Institutions of the municipality and that with the support of the Municipal Mayor’s Office the number of places would be expanded to third, fourth or fifth place. .
Likewise, the objective of this meeting was to review the financial balance of this agreement, to ensure the resources of the benefited students for the 2024 term.
The goal of this cooperation agreement between the Municipal Mayor’s Office of Guamal and Unimagdalena is to consolidate the Talento Magdalena public policy in the municipality and ensure sustainability.
