The Undersecretary of Citizen Protection dependent on the Ministry of Security and Justice, reports on the coverage area of the yellow alert for winds, issued by the National Meteorological Service scheduled for this Saturday afternoon.
The climate contingency will affect the areas of: Cushamen mountain range, Futaleufú mountain range, Languiñeo mountain range, Tehuelches mountain range, Gastre, west of Mártires, west of Telsen, Paso de Indios, east of Mártires, east of Telsen, Gaiman, plateau of Biedma, Florentino Ameghino Plateau, Rawson Plateau, Florentino Ameghino Coast, Rawson Coast and Biedma Coast.
Winds are expected from the western sector with speeds between 60 and 75 km/h and gusts that can exceed 100 km/h.
ALERT FOR HEAVY SNOW
Heavy and persistent snowfall is also expected. Accumulated snow values between 30 and 45 cm are expected, and may be exceeded from time to time. In lower areas, precipitation could come in the form of mixed rain and snow.
In addition, the phenomenon will be accompanied by intense winds that could cause reduced visibility due to suspended snow.
